No matter if you prefer climbing the highest peaks or walking along the gentle hills of the more than 30 Alpine meadows in the holiday area, you will be spoilt for choice.

Our highlights are your must-sees: 

  • The panoramic platform on the summit of the Gitschberg, providing a great view on more than 500 mountain peaks at 360° degrees.
  • The Fane Alm at Valles, which is considered the most beautiful Alpine village of South Tyrol, characterized by its particular appearance. 
  • The Rodengo Castle, which was once built to serve as a fort and reached its current state of beauty during the Renaissance period. Today it can be visited as a museum and castle. 
  • The mountain farms of Fundres, fascinating both inhabitants and guests due to their neat appearance and original character. 
  • The market town of Rio di Pusteria fascinates with its narrow alleyways and  medieval residences.
  • In winter the skiing area Gitschberg-Jochtal offers about 55 km of ski slopes and is perfect for family skiing holidays.

Your entry ticket into a world full of adventures! The Almencard allows visitors to use the cable car facilities as well as the bus to the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm free of charge during summer months. Even more advantages are offered to Almencard PLUS holders, including the use of all regional buses and trains throughout South Tyrol free of charge*. The Almencard PLUS also gives free admission to more than 90 museums and collections along with a varied weekly programme to ensure unforgettable summer holidays in the Gitschberg Jochtal area. The Gitschberg Jochtal Almencard includes the services of the Mobility Card for the entire year, plus participation in the weekly programme of the Gitschberg Jochtal Ski & Almenregion and use of the Jochtal cable cars and Berg-Nesselbahn in the following periods:

  • Saturday, 13 May 2023 to Friday, 7 July 2023 inclusive.
  • Monday, 18 September 2023 up to and including Saturday, 4 November 2023.

From 01.01.2023 the Gitschberg Jochtal Almencard is available from us all year round.

Mobility Card

The Gitschberg Jochtal Mobility Card is the basic guest card of the Gitschberg Jochtal Ski & Alpine Pasture Region. It includes free use of public mobility, the ski bus service in winter and free admission to selected museums and exhibitions in South Tyrol. However, it does not include the weekly programme of the ski & alpine pasture region or free use of the Jochtal and Berg-Nesselbahn cable cars during the planned period.

Please note that for reasons of space we can only welcome dogs up to 20 kg.
